Stephen Colbert mocks ‘pedophile’ Roy Moore riding on horseback
By Jeremy Dick
Roy Moore actually rode in on a horse to the polls yesterday where he would wind up losing the election, and Stephen Colbert had something to say about it.
Last night, it was election night in Alabama, and by the time The Late Show with Stephen Colbert went to air, the news was official. Roy Moore has lost the race against Democrat Doug Jones, in what is being considered a shocking outcome — despite the allegations against Moore.
But Colbert’s Late Show had already been taped, so he couldn’t yet comment on the official outcome of the election. But what Colbert could make fun of was the odd way Moore made an entrance at the polls yesterday. If you haven’t heard, the scandal-ridden politician actually rode in on a horse, and Colbert couldn’t help but laugh about it in his new monologue.
“And I just want to say to Roy Moore, hello you, and the horse you rode in on,” Colbert says, pointing straight at the camera. The Late Show host also can’t help but laugh about the name of the horse, which is “Sassy.” Colbert suggests that the name sounds like a great name… for a magazine aimed at teenage girls!
You can watch the bit from the monologue in the YouTube video below.

Colbert will no doubt comment on Moore’s loss on tonight’s episode of the show. As always, tune in weeknights at 11:35 PM EST to CBS for new episodes of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
