Late Night with Seth Meyers funnyman Seth Meyers will be serving as the host of the 75th annual Golden Globe awards this coming January.

Meet your host of the 2018 Golden Globes… Seth Meyers!

According to Rolling Stone, Meyers has now officially been named as the host for the prestigious awards show, which is set to air in January. Though Tiffany Haddish and Ellen DeGeneres were rumored to be in the running, Meyers has apparently sealed the deal and will be leading the proceedings when the big event comes next year.

This will be the first time Meyers has hosted the Golden Globes, but not necessarily his first major hosting gig. In 2014, he hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards, and did a fantastic job. Meyers has also been revered for his part at the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner. So he shouldn’t be having too many difficulties sliding into the role of the host of the Golden Globes.

Like the Rolling Stone article suggests, it’s going to be interesting to see how the subject of sexual harassment is handled at the event. The issue has heavily affected the entertainment industry, so it will be pretty much the elephant in the room at the show. Of course, Meyers hasn’t been too shy joking about it on his late night show, so it’s pretty unlikely that it will be ignored.
