The always hilarious Jane Lynch is going to be starring on her own daytime television show with a new program being developed by the folks behind Ellen.

Make a little bit of room, Ellen… Jane Lynch is coming to daytime TV!

As reported as by Deadline, we have learned that the amazing Jane Lynch has an upcoming daytime show in development by Telepictures — whom also did Ellen. Still early in development, there are only a few details on what we can expect from the show, and they’re subject to change.

Lynch’s series is not expected to feature interviews with celebrity guests, which is unusual for this kind of program. But the focus seems to be more on Lynch’s comedy, showcasing it as a “feel-good variety show”. It should still however be filmed in front of a live studio audience, with Lynch dishing her comedic take on current events and pop culture.

Obviously Lynch has a lot of experience at this point as well as a big fan base. People seem to love her, as we’ve already seen from her various film and TV roles. Lynch has experience as a host, as one of only three women to host the Primetime Emmy Awards alone. Speaking of Emmys, she has a few of those as well, for both her work as the host of Hollywood Game Night and as her role of Sue Sylvester from the musical series Glee.

Stay tuned for additional details on this series, but keep in mind it won’t be out for just a little while. The show is set to launch in the fall of 2018.
