Seth Meyers says Robert Mueller is “going in for the kill” with the investigation into the alleged collusion between Russia and the Trump Administration.

If you keep up with headlines at all, you know all about the story with Donald Trump and Russia. Allegedly, Trump and/or members of his administration had private meetings with Russia in an attempt to influence the election.

Though Trump tried to get former FBI Director James Comey to drop the investigation, he didn’t, prompting Trump to fire him. But that’s when a special counsel was brought in by the name of Robert Mueller. Apparently, Mueller’s investigation has been raising the heat on the Trump Administration, and is “going in for the kill.”

Last night on Late Night, host Seth Meyers spoke about these reports, noting that something is about to go down with this investigation. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has already had so many of his private dealings with Russians exposed, Trump’s own lawyers wanted him to resign. But those aren’t the only cracks forming in this case.

As Meyers says, Trump might not want to put too much stock into what his legal team says, anyway. Just last week, Trump’s lawyer Ty Cobb (ha) fell for an obviously-fake email prank. In his response, Cobb all but admits that Michael Flynn probably broke the law. But the truly embarrassing part for Cobb is that the email address he was replying to was dan.scavinojr@emailprankster.co.uk. It’s not a good sign when your lawyer misses such obvious details and falls for the most clear lies.
