It’s Emmy season, but not many of us know exactly when this year’s Primetime Emmy Awards is going to air. We have all of that info for you right here!

It’s time to start handing out those sweet golden trophies to last year’s greatest entertainers, as the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards season has finally arrived!

So, if you’re here reading this, you would like to know when the big event is going to take place. I’ll get right to it then! The Emmys will be airing on Sunday, Sep. 17, 2017 at 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST.

Hosting this year’s show will be the “king of late night TV”, Stephen Colbert. This will be Colbert’s first time hosting the Emmys, but something tells me he’s going to kill it. He didn’t become the highest rated late night comedian for nothing, after all!

What really makes this even more interesting is that Colbert is not only hosting, he’s up for an Emmy nomination as well! The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is in the running for Outstanding Variety Talk Series. Though he has  some strong competition, I feel pretty confident in Colbert taking the win. His take on The Late Show has been nothing short of stellar, which is how he became the king of late night (as mentioned above).

So, mark the 17th of September down on your calendar! With Colbert at the helm, we can be sure it’s going to be a very entertaining show this year. Who knows if Colbert’s pal Donald Trump will be watching… but his Twitter activity the next morning will let us know.
