Gotham promo reveals sneak peek at Bruce’s first batsuit

A new promo ad for Season 4 of FOX’s Gotham has just been released and it gives us our first peek at Bruce Wayne in his first “batsuit” prototype.

I hope Gotham City is ready, because the hero they need is almost here!

Over three seasons into FOX’s Batman prequel series, a young Jim Gordon has been doing the bulk of the crimefighting with his partner Harvey Bullock. It’s been awesome, but at the end of the day, Batman is the hero that we really want to see. With so many dastardly villains running rampant throughout the city, the transformation from Bruce into Batman is becoming overdue.

In the Season 3 finale, the seeds were planted for this to begin. Bruce had taken to the streets to use the combat skills he has learned to go after the crooks. He has started the process of becoming Batman, though we’ve still got several big steps left to go.

One of the most obvious steps to becoming Batman is the batsuit. We’re not expecting Bruce to just one day slip into the recognizable batsuit we all recognize from the comics. He’s likely going to design some kind of prototype vigilante outfit reminiscent of the iconic cowl first. And according to the new Season 4 promo, it seems that is exactly what he’s done! Though it isn’t quite in bat form yet (no pointy ears, etc.), it’s clear that this suit if the first prototype of what’s to come.
