At the Teen Choice Awards 2017 on the FOX network, the television show Riverdale snagged the award for Choice Drama TV Show!

The teens have spoken at the Fox Teen Choice Awards 2017, and Riverdale is their favorite Drama TV Show!

To present this award, the two Tylers from Teen Wolf came out to speak. First, they had a bit about not knowing which Tyler was the one to read the lines from the teleprompter. One says to mark one of them as being the Tyler from Teen Wolf. The other reminds him that they are both on that show. It was almost like an updated version of the classic comedy routine of “Who’s on first?”

In any case, the duo introduced all of the nominees for the Choice Drama TV show. This included these programs: Empire, Famous in Love, Pretty Little Liars, Riverdale, Star, and This is Us. It was hard to pin down an expected winner here, as it was all up in the air. But the teens have voted, and the winner is…

RIVERDALE!

Based on the Archie comic book series, I don’t think many people thought Riverdale would be much of a hit. But after an acclaimed first season, the CW network ordered more episodes, set to premiere in October of this year.
