God stops by Colbert to talk Donald Trump and nuclear war
By Jeremy Dick
The almighty one Himself, God, made a surprise visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to address the possible nuclear war involving North Korea.
The end of the world just might be on the horizon… but God’s not worried!
Last night on The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert spoke about the missile crisis in North Korea that everyone’s getting worried about. Apparently, Kim Jong Un supposedly has an arsenal of nuclear weapons, and President Donald Trump seems to be teasing an international conflict. It’s scary stuff for a lot of Americans (not to mention the rest of the world).
According to Trump’s “evangelical advisor” Pastor Jeffress, God has given Trump permission to “take out Kim Jong Un.” Colbert can’t help but laugh about the suggestion that God behaves as if he’s the head of the mafia.
Colbert mentions that he didn’t believe God was pro-nuclear war, and wanted to check in with the big guy upstairs to verify that. Suddenly, a light shines down from the ceiling of the studio, marking the entrance of God, making an impromptu visit to The Late Show. Immediately, Colbert questions him on the potential war, asking if he really gives Trump permission to “take out” North Korea.
“Oh yeah, always on America’s side when it comes to blowing stuff up!” God exclaims. When Colbert says he thought God’s message was more about peace and forgiveness, God says he never said such a thing — that was his “hippie son”.
