Stephen Colbert laughs at email prankster tricking White House staff
By Jeremy Dick
The Trump Administration certainly gives Stephen Colbert plenty to work with, but he still can’t stop laughing about White House staff falling for email spam.
Somebody tell that “prince in Nigeria” to try sending his solicitation emails to the White House… they just might be gullible enough to fall for it!
It’s been a rough time at the White House recently. This huge embarrassment with Anthony Scaramucci, which saw him getting sacked after only 10 days, really makes them look like a joke. But in the midst of all this Moochie nonsense, there are other things for the White House to be embarrassed about too.
Last night on The Late Show, Stephen Colbert spoke about the whole fiasco. He then brought up a story about how a lone email spammer managed to fool top officials in Team Trump. While it is pretty funny, Colbert can’t help but say that it’s pretty frightening as well. Why wouldn’t it be?
One email that Trump’s staff fell for literally had the words “Collude-A-Palooza!” in the subject line. What I’m saying is that these emails can be spotted as phony from a mile away, but not for White House officials. It still doesn’t stop them from doing things like sending out personal email addresses just because someone claims to be Jared Kushner.
