Will there be a new episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC tonight? It’s a Saturday and if you’re here, you’re definitely wondering that, so I’ll go ahead and get on with the answer.

Unfortunately, I don’t have good news. Said answer is NO, there won’t be any new SNL coming on TV tonight. SNL is on its annual summer break, after the conclusion of its season a short while back. The show won’t be back with new episodes until later in the fall.

It’s a hard time for the series not to be on, I know. With Donald Trump and this Russian collusion scandal, and now with his sudden “trans ban” announcement on Twitter, we need Alec Baldwin now more than ever. If only the show were on the writers could have a field day with everything going on lately.

Season 42 was the most watched season of SNL in over two decades. The show is finally seeing an upswing in its popularity and Season 43 may see those numbers get even higher. Don’t expect to see the show go anywhere anytime soon.
