The Walking Dead is just as popular as ever, as the San Diego Comic Con trailer for Season 8 has broken the show’s previous viewership record.

It looks like the people just can’t wait for The Walking Dead Season 8!

Recently, tons of TV trailers had their premiere at the annual San Diego Comic Con. The Walking Dead is no exception, as they’re at the big event each and every year. With the Season 7 finale leading up to what looks to be an All Out War for Season 8, it’s now obvious that fans can’t wait for the show to come back!

ScreenRant is reporting that the viewership for the Season 8 trailer has broken the show’s prior record. AMC claims that the trailer has been viewed over 31 million times in just four days over YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and the AMC website. Last year, Season 7’s trailer garnered about 25 million views in that same time frame. Nothing to shake a stick at, but still not as impressive as topping the 30 million mark!

Interestingly enough, the Season 8 premiere will officially be the show’s 100th episode. Some are touting the next season to perhaps be the greatest one yet of the series. Not bad at all for a show that’s already eight seasons in! While Season 7 saw a steady decline over the slow-moving season, the promise of an uprising against Negan seems to be drawing the fans back.
