After completing her run on the HBO series Girls, star Lena Dunham is joining the cast of the FX horror series American Horror Story.

Fans of Lena Dunham are going to be wanting to tune in to the next season of American Horror Story!

Earlier this year, Dunham completed a successful run on the popular HBO show Girls. Leaving the series, it was unclear which TV shows might feature Dunham next. Well, we can now officially confirm that the actress is a part of the cast for the next season of American Horror Story.

Ryan Murphy, the showrunner of the FX show, confirms the news himself via his personal Twitter account. Murphy notes that he had been wanting to work together with Dunham for a long time, but ever had the chance. The tweet confirms that Dunham is a part of the series, as Murphy is beyond excited that he is finally getting the chance to work with her.

Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, and Billy Eichner are among some of the other confirmed cast members for the show. Murphy keeps many details about the series a secret before the season’s premiere, typically. But the tweet about Dunham definitely is enough to confirm that she’s a part of his new season’s cast.
