Is Saturday Night Live on tonight, July 15th, 2017?

It’s Saturday, July 15th, and perhaps you are curious if there will be a new episode of Saturday Night Live on NBC tonight… we have the answer!

By now, you may have heard the news that Saturday Night Live is up for a few Emmys at the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards. It’s exciting stuff, so is there going to be a celebration tonight on NBC by way of a new episode?

NO, unfortunately! The answer is nada. Saturday Night Live is currently on its summer break, so there won’t be any new episodes at all for the immediate future. You’re going to have to find something else to watch tonight on your TV sets instead (or, you know, go camping or something).

During its forty-second season, SNL had been enjoying the highest ratings it has seen in about 22 years. The sketch comedy show is catching fire, thanks to its stellar cast and guest performers like Alec Baldwin and Melissa McCarthy. We can certainly expect them to reappear once the show returns this fall.

Typically, Saturday Night Live comes back from its break in the early days of October. By this same standard, you should look for the 43rd season of the show to also premiere around that time. It will likely be arriving on NBC in late September, or again in early October. Just keep those eyes peeled.
