Steven Yeun isn’t ruling out The Walking Dead return
By Jeremy Dick
The Walking Dead fan favorite actor Steven Yeun says he is “totally down” for making some kind of a return to the popular TV series which made him famous.
Might we see Glenn one day on a new episode of The Walking Dead?
I would give you a spoiler warning, but there’s no way you don’t already know this. Even those who haven’t seen The Walking Dead have heard about the fate of Steven Yeun’s character. Despite being a heavy favorite with the fans, Yeun’s Glenn character met his grisly end in the beginning of the show’s last season.
In the episodes since, Yeun hasn’t been present at all. Meanwhile, Michael Cudlitz, who played the also-dead Abraham Ford, was able to reprise his role in later flashbacks. Does this mean there’s a chance we’ll get to see Glenn come back as well, perhaps in a flashback or dream sequence? Sure, it’s not quite the same has having Glenn back alive and well, but the fans would still love the chance to see him again.
For what it’s worth, Yeun himself is “totally down” with the idea, according to DailyMail. He admits that as long as it makes sense for the story, he’s completely open to returning. He goes on to add his thoughts on being controversially written out of the show, and if it was the right thing to do:
"“Part of me feels a little bit of pride for doing it, every character has a chance of losing the spark of their character over time, who knows if that would have happened, but one thing that I am sure of is that it left a lasting impact.”"
You can also catch him in movies too, apparently.
