Alec Baldwin to be roasted by co-stars in Spike TV special

The Spike comedy event Alec Baldwin: One Night Only will pay tribute to the actor and feature a roasting from several of his co-stars.

We all know how much Alec Baldwin likes to dish it out. Will he be able to take it just as well?

Donald Trump might not like it, but Baldwin is one of the biggest stars on TV. And to help give the actor the recognition he deserves, Spike is putting together a special, one-time show for their network. But while it pays homage to the comedy legend, Baldwin better be prepared to take some verbal punishment as well.

Called Alec Baldwin: One Night Only, the network is billing the comedy show as “part roast, part This Is Your Life“. Deadline is reporting that the show will feature several candid stories about the actor as well as a few additional surprises. Whatever the case may be, you aren’t going to want to miss it.

Joining Baldwin for the event are many of his co-stars from 30 Rock, the show which earned him two Emmy wins. Julianne Moore, Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer, and Jane Krakowski are all confirmed to attend thus far. No mention of Tina Fey as of yet, but perhaps she’ll be one of these “surprises”. Meanwhile, Baldwin’s SNL co-star Kate McKinnon will also be present.

The event is going to be taped at the Apollo Theater on the evening of June 25. Spike will then premiere Alec Baldwin: One Night Only on July 9 at 9 PM EST. Stay tuned for additional details such as more guest names which are yet to be announced.
