Broad City to bleep Donald Trump’s name, star reveals

Broad City co-star Ilana Glazer stopped by The Late Show last night and revealed that President Donald Trump’s name will be bleeped in Season 4.

We’ve sure got a lot of Americans out there (not to mention the more throughout the world) that really don’t like Donald Trump. For some, just hearing the dark-orange president’s name is offensive, almost to the point of being a curse word. If you’re one of these people, then you’ll appreciate what Broad City is doing next season.

Last night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, one of Broad City‘s leads Ilana Glazer appeared to speak about the show. Talking politics, it’s quickly clear that Glazer is not even comfortable speaking Trump’s name, referring to him as “that guy”. And her way of avoiding hearing his name will now bleed directly into her popular TV series.

In the interview, Colbert directly asks Glazer about the reports that Broad City will be doing something “special” for Mr. Trump this next season. “We are bleeping his last name, ‘President Bleep'”, Glazer confirms, adding that the Donald “gets enough air time as it is.” She concludes that it would just be better for the world not to hear his name, and honestly, I couldn’t agree with her more.
