On last night’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the king of late night TV delivered a harsh “Reality” check straight to President Trump.

For his monologue on The Late Show last night, Stephen Colbert kicked things off talking about George Clooney. Noting how the actor has officially become a father, Colbert jokes that he’s now a DILF — a “dashing, intensely-liberal father. Also, I would have sex with him.”

But getting to “slightly less important news than that,” Colbert brings up the unearthing of a top-secret NSA report. This report details the “hacking efforts” of Russian hackers just days before the 2016 presidential election. “Who really knows who won November 8th now, other than Vladimir Putin?” Colbert jokes, adding that we should just have another election.

Colbert brings up Trump’s insistence that all of these kinds of reports are just “fake news” — even though the hacker in this case was immediately arrested. Perhaps the strangest part of this story is the hacker’s name, which is — no lie — Reality Winner. “So it’s official, the Trump Administration is at war with Reality,” Colbert is quick to quip.

The Late Show host then gets further into the specifics of the story. He ends up comparing the story of the young spy to a James Bond movie, which would, of course, make Trump the villain, “Small Finger”. You can watch the whole monologue in the YouTube video below.

You’ve got to love Colbert. Maybe if he keeps trying to break through to talk some sense into the Donald, maybe he’ll finally one day reach the president. But I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
