On his final show as a member of the Saturday Night Live cast, Bobby Moynihan brought out the Drunk Uncle for one last inebriated rant.

Only recently has the news broken of Bobby Moynihan departing Saturday Night Live after nine seasons. He’s branching out into scripted comedy, accepting a starring role for a pilot called Me, Myself, and I. Moynihan will also be voicing the titular character of Syfy’s dark comedy series Happy!

While as a fan I am happy to see Moynihan’s continued success elsewhere, I think most of us will miss him on Saturday nights. The comedian’s exit of the show came quick, not leaving us much time to prepare. But nine years is still a very long tenure for SNL, so with all of these offers coming his way, Moynihan probably just felt it was time.

To satisfy his fans on the way out, Moynihan brought out one of his most popular characters. That, of course, would be the Drunk Uncle. This tipsy relative of all of ours has been a frequent guest on Weekend Update, and he came out on last night’s season finale to slur his way through a final bit.

After Colin Jost introduces him, Drunk Uncle comes out in a red Trump hat. Only his version says, “Make America Drunk Again”. He then goes into a tirade celebrating having a “white guy” having a chance to make it in America again, referring to Trump. But he quickly changes topics and starts spewing out his thoughts on whatever comes to mind.

We’ll miss you, Drunk Uncle! But I think we’ll all miss Moynihan on SNL even more.
