Seth Meyers says Trump warned us about himself
By Jeremy Dick
For the newest ‘A Closer Look’ segment on Late Night, host Seth Meyers shows how Donald Trump warned us all about the situation we’re now in.
On last night’s Late Night, Seth Meyers gets into the recently developing news of a new special counsel being assigned to the Trump investigation. The probe into Trump and several of his associates having ties to foreign governments is now getting very serious.
But if it already sounds familiar talking about having a president having a special prosecutor assigned to them, there’s a reason for that.
“I just wish someone had warned us about the disastrous consequences of a president who would be under investigation while in office,” Meyers says on late night. Then, he plays a video of Donald Trump doing just that on multiple occassions, pertaining to Hillary Clinton.
In the clip, Trump talks about there being multiple FBI investigations into Hillary Clinton, whom is now going to “run the country”. In another clip, Trump says, “This is collusion and corruption of the highest order, and is one more reason why I ask my Attorney General — I will ask — to appoint a special prosecutor.”
“It’s literally the only campaign promise he’s actually kept,” Meyers stresses, noting the obvious irony. Now, it turns out we really do have a president with multiple FBI investigations, with a special prosecutor getting involved. The twist is that it’s not Hillary after all. It’s Trump himself.
You can watch the entire take down in the video below.

So it turns out Trump was being partially honest when making these promises. He just told his voters Hillary Clinton would be the one under fire — but it’s the Trumpster himself. Talk about a twist worthy of an M. Night Shyamalan film.
