Is Saturday Night Live on tonight, May 6th?

Saturday Night Live is nearing the end of its season, but tonight will have a live episode of the sketch comedy series airing on NBC.

We’ve got just a few episodes left, but SNL isn’t through Season 42 just yet!

If you’re here, you’re probably wondering if Saturday Night Live is on tonight. At the least, perhaps you’re just curious who the special guests are. Well, first of all, yes, the show is all new tonight! And they’ve got some interesting guests in store as well!

Chris Pine is serving as the special guest host of the show. Nerds and cinephiles will always know him best as Captain James T. Kirk from the recent Star Trek movies. Pine is also starring in the upcoming Wonder Woman film (no, not as the titular character). This will be his very first time hosting SNL, but expect to see at least one Star Trek parody on the show tonight.

James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem is also appearing on the show as the musical guest. Like Pine, it will be his SNL debut.

This will be the second SNL episode to air live nationwide, after Jimmy Fallon’s appearance last month. We also haven’t had a new episode of SNL since, bringing the show back after a hiatus. There’s no reason not to expect tonight’s episode to be just as entertaining, so be sure to tune in.
