Seth Meyers rips ‘ignorant’ Trump over his first 100 days
By Jeremy Dick
With Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office coming to a close, Seth Meyers shreds the president over his failed plan to “make America great again” by now.
In a recent tweet from President Trump, the commander-in-chief calls the 100 day measurement a “ridiculous standard” from the media. He writes it off as foolish for anyone to expect the president to accomplish so much within that time. Of course, this ignores the fact that it was Trump himself who’d constantly tout his promise to “make America great again” just 100 days in.
On Late Night with Seth Meyers, several video clips were shown along with the tweet. It’s funny how Trump spent his entire campaign making these promises, but now that we’re nearly at the deadline, he’s now downplaying it. “As the 100 day milestone nears,” Seth Meyers states on the show, “Trump has failed to deliver on almost every one of his major legislative promises.”
The roasting doesn’t stop there, though. Meyers uses this whole situation as the subject of the show’s “A Closer Look” segment. He expresses his frustration in the ignorance of the president. In fact, Meyers says, “Trump is so ignorant, he’s ignorant of his ignorance.”
This is one of the best take downs of Trump from Seth Meyers in a while, and it’s worth watching the entire segment. You can do that by checking out the YouTube video below.
In the video above, Meyers points out several instances of Trump’s ignorance. That includes Trump suggesting he won the popular vote against Hillary Clinton, and just discovering the Republican party has different factions. President Trump is giving the late night comedians so much material to work with, it’s no wonder they can’t keep up.
