Trevor Noah trolls Donald Trump’s love of coal on Daily Show
By Tyler Brooke
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah took some time on Wednesday night to talk about President Donald Trump’s decision to roll back regulations on the coal industry.
At this point as we approach April, it seems that every single late night talk show out there talks about nothing else besides President Donald Trump. Not surprisingly, that was the case once again during Wednesday night’s episode of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah..
During Wednesday night’s episode of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah talked about President Trump’s recent executive order to roll back regulations on the coal industry. Trump continuously campaigned on bringing coal jobs back to key swing states during the election, so it’s not surprise this is a decision he decided to make.
At the same time, there’s no proof that these executive orders will actually bring jobs back to coal miners. You can learn more about Trump trying to fight an apparent “war on coal” in the YouTube video below.
The craziest part of all of this is that coal is now America’s No. 3 source of energy, and employs far fewer people that the industries trying to work on renewable energy sources like solar and wind.
As Noah points out, America has always been a country that’s focused on moving forward and progressing with innovative ideas. Trying to continue to rely on coal doesn’t seem like moving forward.

This was one of the more solid segments from Noah and his staff this year, with plenty of laughs and a lot of interesting information packed together. Noah is really finding his groove as the replacement for Jon Stewart, and it’s definitely starting to show.
