12. Maher vulgarly slams a Black Lives Matter activist

Although Bill Maher did out himself as a Bernie Sanders supporter, he is still behind Hillary Clinton. He doesn’t seem to like when people take Hillary on, whether it’s Donald Trump or a protesting citizen. And on an episode of HBO’s Real Time, Maher makes his feelings known on those who go up against Hillary, and it isn’t pleasant.

Maher talks about an incident in which Hillary was giving a speech at a fundraiser. At the event, a Black Lives Matter protester approached her, interrupting her to ask for an apology for black people for their mass incarceration. The comment applies to the 1994 crime bill signed by Clinton, which led to more black incarceration than the country had ever seen.

Maher is quick to write off the comments, saying that he gets no indication at all that Hillary is a racist. Because Donald Trump had shown many more signs of racism than Hillary, then the protester was going after the wrong person. Maher says as much, additionally referring to the protester as a “f**king idiot” as well. But some critics say that although Trump isn’t much better, Hillary still owed the black community an apology.
