Samantha Bee goes off on Trump over wiretapping claims

Full Frontal host Samantha Bee went off on President Donald Trump for his claims about Barack Obama tapping his phones and the media for praising his speech.

It only seemed fitting that Full Frontal with Samantha Bee had to produce a show for Wednesday since it was International Women’s Day. Of course, the TBS late night talk show had to discuss some of the recent current events surrounding President Donald Trump and his administration.

During Wednesday’s episode of Full Frontal, Samantha Bee talked about Trump’s recent address to Congress. She wasted no time calling out media outlets for praising Trump for simply acting presidential and reading a speech. Bee also cheered on a female who was part of a CBS focus group talking about how she wasn’t buying the speech.

After spending some time talking about Trump’s address, Bee switched over to the President’s Twitter account, which he used to accuse former President Barack Obama of wiretapping the Trump Tower during the 2016 election while not providing any evidence. Bee was especially livid over Trump’s wiretapping claims during this segment. It’s fair considering the only other outlet to suggest such a thing was Breitbart News, and they argued that Obama was staging a “silent coups”.

As Bee points out, a “silent coups” doesn’t make any sense if Obama tapped Trump’s phones, didn’t release any of the information, let Trump win the election and then Obama was no longer POTUS. Bee may night be the biggest name on late night TV, but she sure knows how to troll Trump.
