2. When Bee said that Trump was moving our country backwards.

It’s Black History Month, and it just so happens that this year, for the first time ever, our country is actually moving backwards instead of forwards. Hm, I wonder what could possibly be causing that. Perhaps the election of a white supremacist as our country’s president. So while our president is taking strides to move our country backwards, Bee is handing the mic over (and her credit card) to  Ashley Nicole Black. She’s taking us to Washington D.C. to hear a few Civil Rights Activists so we can hear a few tips on how to rebel in a rebellion.

My personal favorite piece of advice: “Sometimes you gotta put your cell phone down and take to the streets.”

Can someone tell that to our president? Maybe more people would respect him if he put his damn phone down for a few hours (or maybe four years). My next favorite piece of advice for introverts who might not want to go out in crowds and talk to all of those people: “Suck it up. It’s too important not to.”

“Every revolution succeeds because of the foot soldiers and the sergeants.”

Can we get a round of applause for these activists who literally risked their livelihood to better the future of their country? Can we learn from them to reverse the reversal of where our country is going?
