Colbert breaks down Trump’s twitter beef with Nordstrom
By Tyler Brooke
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert called out President Donald Trump for his Twitter beef with Nordstrom after the company dropped Ivanka’s clothing line.
Almost all of the late night talk shows around the country have been going in on President Donald Trump, including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Now, all of these shows have some new material regarding Trump’s daughter, Ivanka.
During Wednesday night’s episode of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert started the show with an opening monologue discussing the confirmation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. He talked about Elizabeth Warren getting shut down while trying to read a letter from Coretta Scott King condemning Sessions prior to his confirmation.
After talking for a little bit about sessions, Colbert had no choice to talk about the president’s beef with Nordstrom. Earlier this week, the clothing company had dropped Ivanka Trump’s clothing line due to declining sales. Trump then called out Nordstrom over Twitter before the official POTUS account retweeted it.
Colbert pointed out how ridiculous it is for the President to call out a company because it stopped doing business with his daughter. You can watch the entire opening monologue from Wednesday night’s episode in the YouTube video below.
In just a few short weeks, Trump has already created quite a lot of material for news outlets and late night talk shows to talk about. Don’t expect that to stop any time soon, because programs like The Late Show are going to keep looking for things coming out of the Trump administration to call out.
