30 things we need to see in The Walking Dead Season 7B
By Jeremy Dick
22. An unexpected cameo from a former cast member
The Walking Dead has never been very shy with its cameos. A character’s death therefore doesn’t necessarily mean we will never see them again. When Rick was battling the Governor’s men in Woodbury, he had a vision of Shane coming after him. And I’m sure all of us can still remember Lori coming back a time or two in Rick’s mind only.
When Tyreese wound up biting it in Season 5, something similar would occur. He would have visions of some of the others who fell before him. Lizzie, Mika, Beth, and Bob were all there for him in his dying moments. But let’s not forget the Governor himself would also show back up, tormenting Tyreese in his mind just a little bit more.
Flashbacks and visions are a neat way of checking back in with former characters on the show. I wouldn’t mind seeing them doing something like this again. For example, Merle Dixon is another character whose presence is still sorely missed. Having Michael Rooker reprise the role one more time in a vision for Daryl would be awesome. It’s not far-fetched at all, considering that Daryl even has a history of hallucinating his older brother.
