Billy Eichner takes to the streets with John Oliver to find out whether gay men care about the Last Week Tonight host.

Billy Eichner is following up last week’s “It’s Debra Messing, you gays!” segment by exploring whether John Oliver has a large gay fan base in this week’s episode of Billy on the Street. The comic hit the pavement accompanied by the host of HBO’s Last Week Tonight to ask every gay male in sight one simple question: “Do you care about John Oliver?”

Sadly, the answer from most of the men in the video was a resounding no, but the few that were asked about talk show host Wendy Williams gave a much more positive response. After four “no’s,” Eichner decides to additionally ask the participants if they like Williams. “Of course I do,” says one man, after expressing that he has no idea who Oliver is.

The British comedian eventually gets a meet a gay fan, though at Eichner’s urging he admits that he’s a bigger fan of Williams than Oliver. Eichner also finds a man who gives Oliver credit for talking “about all the people that are involved in non-traditional relationships,” but is much more enthusiastic when the host brings up Cookie Lyon from Empire. “Oh, she’s fierce,” he says.

One final gay man and his “homo hunny” offer a similarly subdued response to Oliver’s presence, asking why they should care about the Daily Show alum. Watch the entire clip below:

Eichner previously shocked passersby by revealing that actor Seth Rogen had died, while the actor stood beside him disguised as a camerman, and asked random New Yorkers if they would have a threesome with him and Jon Hamm.

Billy on the Street airs Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. on truTV, while Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is back with new episodes on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 11 p.m. on HBO.
