Candice Patton (Mississippi)
TV actress Candice Patton was originally born in Jackson, Mississippi. After attending university in Dallas, she entered into an acting career. Before long, she nabbed a role as Robin on The Young and the Restless, and would maintain a steady TV career since then. She would have parts on shows like Castle, Entourage, and Grey’s Anatomy. Patton also appears in the TV movie The Craigslist Killer, based upon the true story of a psychopath who killed women he preys on Craiglist.
Although she’s had consistent televion work, Patton’s first breakout role is likely that of Tori on the BET series The Game. She would appear in eight different episodes in the part. But although this was her first breakout part, it’s probably not what she’s best known for. That would be the series she signed onto a year later.
That would be the CW series The Flash. Patton co-stars on the show as Iris West. West is the girlfriend of the titular superhero and a vital part of the acclaimed series. This role has gotten her some award nominations at the Teen Choice Awards and most fans of the show consider her one of its best characters.
