4. Negan bludgeons Abraham to death

The show would circle back to when Negan chose his victim. “Eeny, meeny, miney, mo” he would say, letting his barbwire bat land on one unlucky person. This turns out to be Abraham. Negan doesn’t waste time slamming the bat down on his head.

The first hit doesn’t take down Abraham, who offers a response. He tells Negan to “suck [his] nuts”, delivering one final awesome line before being taken out. Negan pummels Abe’s skull until his brains are splattered all over the ground.

Abraham was the most intimidating soldier in the entire group. He knelt upright and unafraid, showing not one ounce of fear in these moments. Perhaps that’s why Negan ultimately chose him to be the one. By taking out what appeared to be the toughest one of the bunch, he can really weaken the morale of the survivors.

But it was heartbreaking to see Abe’s lifeless body on the ground. Sasha was getting close to Abraham right before this happened; Rosita was romantically involved with him for a long time. It seems to hit them the hardest, though everyone is completely horrified. Abe was such a valuable member of the group and his death was very hard to watch.
