18. Trump fails at the easiest question in politics

Donald Trump has been particularly harsh on Muslims and Mexicans, but according to him, it has nothing to do with race. He’s merely trying to “protect our security” and that’s all the justification needed to attempt ridiculous measures such as building the giant wall or banning Muslims from the country.

Of course, his critics suggest that the real reason for Trump to act this way towards these groups of people is that he is a white supremacist. While Trump hasn’t actually spoken these words himself, it certainly doesn’t help when he accepts the support of well known hate groups like the KKK, refusing to disavow their support.

Stephen Colbert played the clip of Trump claiming to not know enough about David Duke to disavow him, even though he was aware of Duke representing the Ku Klux Klan.

“Yeah, Trump needs to know before condemning David Duke or the KKK. It’s not like they’re Muslim, or born in Mexico.”

Colbert then went on to explain how Trump failed at answering the easiest question to answer in politics. When a candidate is asked if they would disavow the Ku Klux Klan supporting them, shouldn’t the response be obvious? It apparently was not for Donald Trump.
