19. The Troompa Loompas invade Jimmy Kimmel Live
As Jimmy Kimmel explained in a monologue on his late night TV program, Donald Trump has made quite an impact in his quest for the Oval Office. A former reality TV star best known for “firing” forgotten celebrities, Trump has recently become the biggest name in politics. To “celebrate”, Kimmel introduced a “colorful group of individuals” to sing about it— the Troompa Loompas.
You can probably already tell just from the name, but the singing group of little people in mini Trump outfits (and wigs) are spoofing the Oompa Loompas from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. In a parody of the classic Oompa Loompa theme, the Troompa Loompas change the words to be much more specific to Trump, and it’s hilarious.
“What kind of man likes to bash immigrants? Treat them like trash ’cause they lack documents?” is just one of the lines included in the amazing parody. The Troompa Loompas were so well received by Kimmel’s viewers, that they tend to reappear on the show with a new song about the Donald from time to time. If Trump ends up taking the presidency, we better get used to these little guys.
