Late Late Show host James Corden went head-to-head with his guest Neil Patrick Harris in an exciting Broadway Riff-Off on Monday night.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, The Late Late Show host James Corden is a huge fan of music. From popular segments like Drop the Mic and Carpool Karaoke, Corden has helped turn the CBS series into one of the biggest shows on the network.

On Monday night’s episode, Corden got really excited to have another music lover in Neil Patrick Harris on the set as one of the night’s guests. As if that wasn’t exciting enough for Corden, he was then challenged by Harris to a musical challenge.

Both Harris and Corden have won Tony Awards, so it only made sense for the two to compete in a classic Broadway Riff-Off. The two competed by showing off their pipes while singing some classic broadway songs. You can watch the entire segment in the YouTube video.

The two celebrities were also accompanied by The Filharmonic, who participated as backup vocals. Corden loves any opportunity to sing on his show, and this is was one of his better opportunities to do exactly that.

It’s always great when Corden can find a guest who loves music as much as he does. Harris actually won a Tony Award back in 2014 for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, while Corden won for Best Lead Actor in a Play for his role in One Man, Two Guvnors. If that doesn’t make for an awesome Broadway Riff-Off duo, I don’t know what does.
