Just like with previous weeks of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart will only host the first night of the week during the first week of December. He takes over Monday night’s show, and then we get a range of hosts throughout the week.

Well, with just two weeks of new episodes left in 2025, eyes are on who will return to interview the various guests for the series. We have some exciting news in terms of both hosts and guests.

Hosts and guests on The Daily Show this week

Monday, December 1

Yes, Stewart will host the first night of the week. This has become his standard night, and we’re looking forward to him continuing this throughout 2026, as he has recently signed on for another year.

He will interview Elizabeth Kolbert, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist. She has recently collected her writing on climate change from The New Yorker into a book, Life on a Little-Known Planet, which she will promote while on the show.

Tuesday, December 2

Then on Tuesday, Desi Lydic will take on hosting duties once more. She will be joined by Nikki DeLoach, who will want to chat about her Hallmark movie A Grand Ole Opry Christmas.

DeLoach is also a philanthropist with plenty of events happening throughout the year, so she may also want to chat about what’s to come as 2025 comes to an end.

Wednesday, December 3

To get us through Hump Day, Josh Johnson will return as host of the show. He’ll interview Asi Wind, a mentalist and magician who is sure to blow your mind.

Thursday, December 4

Then, Jordan Klepper will take on his duties to host once more. The guest for this episode is yet to be determined, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for that.

Hosts for the second week of December

So far, the hosts for December 8–11 haven’t been confirmed, but we are expecting Stewart to take over Monday night. From there, we’re sure to see Ronny Chieng and Michael Kosta, who are taking this week off, and it’ll be interesting to see who gets the last show of 2025.

Yes, in some disappointing news, The Daily Show will go off the air for the rest of 2025. As usual, the show will head on its winter hiatus, and it is currently slated to return on Monday, Jan. 5.

The Daily Show airs on weeknights at 11/10c on Comedy Central.
