The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been keeping a close eye on Donald Trump for a decade now. But Stephen Colbert may have found his breaking point when he decided to take a closer look at the president's body following Trump's physical exam.
President Trump's health has always had a cloud of mystery around it, leading critics like Colbert to question just how honest the president is with the public. It also hasn't stopped Colbert's monologues from mocking Trump's appearance.
The topic came up again during Colbert's monologue on Monday night. President Trump's 2025 physical was released, reporting he was benefiting from an "active lifestyle" highlighted by winning multiple golf tournaments.
Colbert couldn't help but add his own commentary to Trump's physical: "His well-being is also due to a cruel, indifferent universe where good, hardworking people are routinely diagnosed with terminal illnesses, but an objectively evil monster who only eats cheesburgers and fried chicken lives forever. The world is chaos. There is no God, prove by his frequent victories in golf events!"
The comedian continued to comb through the report from Trump's doctor. The Late Show host wasn't exactly convinced of the clean bill of health given to the president considering 14 doctors and specialists needed to be consulted.
Trump's response to the physical also caught Colbert's attention. The president claimed he was in good shape and had a "good soul."
Of course, Colbert wasn't going to let that slide without commentary. The late-night TV host suggested that Trump got the positive review of his soul from the devil.
Neither the results of Trump's physical nor Colbert's reaction were all that surprising. The president isn't one to let any negative news get out, especially if it had to do with his ability to lead the country. And The Late Show with Stephen Colbert isn't going to let it slide if they detect B.S. coming from the White House.
