Bad Bunny and Doja Cat kicked off Saturday Night Live season 51 on Saturday, Oct. 4. It was a great season premiere, but I think we all know the show is going to improve as the new cast members get a little more acclimated a comfortable.
Saturday Night Live returns for its second episode of the season, and it features a very special guest who has hosted a few times and also starred on the series from 2001 to 2008. Of course, I'm referring former SNL star Amy Poehler.

SNL 51's second episode airs at 11:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC. That's been the time slot for SNL for a few years when the show moved the show from up from the 11:30 p.m. PT delay. Honestly, it works so much better. It feels like a can't-miss event, especially with a star like Poehler returning.
As usual, the episode is scheduled for 90 minutes. The East Coast airing will end about 1:00 a.m. ET while the West Coast airing will finish around 10 p.m. PT.
If you don't have a TV subscription, you can also watch the new episode of SNL on Peacock.
If you can't watch live, you can follow along with the sketches on Twitter (X) and social media throughout the episode.
Amy Poehler returns for third time hosting SNL

Amy Poehler is returning to 30 Rock to host SNL for the third time since she left the series as a full-time cast member in 2008. She hosted the show for the first time on Sept. 25, 2010, and then Poehler hosted again with Tina Fey on Dec. 19, 2015. So, this is her first time hosting in almost a decade.
Poehler was an SNL cast member from 2001-2008. During the time, she hosted The Weekend Update with Tina Fey and later Seth Myers after Fey left 30 Rock.
Following her time on SNL, Poehler starred as Leslie Knope in the NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation and movies like Baby Mama, Sisters, Inside Out, and more. She also has a very successful podcast, Good Hang with Amy Poehler. It's one of my favorite podcast, and it's must-listen or watch if you're a fan of Poehler.
Who is the musical guest on SNL tonight?

Role Model is the musical guest joining Poehler in the second episode of SNL 51. I'm not too familiar with Role Model's music, but I'm definitely interested in seeing him perform live on SNL. Role Model's second album, Kansas Anymore, was released in December of last year.
Interestingly, there were reports that Role Model took his stage name after the movie Role Models starring Paul Rudd, who has appeared in many projects with Poehler, including Wet Hot American Summer, They Came Together, Anchorman, and more. Unfortunately, that report is sadly untrue. I learned that in my several Google searches as I wrote this story. But, honestly, it's actually more fun to pretend this is true, so I'll be suspending my disbelief while I watch the new episode of SNL tonight.
That's all for now! Stay tuned for more news about SNL on Last Night On!
