Saturday Night Live is continuing to roll out its roster of hosts and musical guests for season 50. The show got off to a strong start with its first batch of hosts, thanks to stellar turns by Nate Bargatze and Ariana Grande.

The first batch concluded with John Mulaney and Chappell Roan, who are set to host and perform on November 2, respectively, but SNL has decided to reveal who will spearhead the next two episodes in November. Bill Burr will take the stage as host during the November 9 episode, with a musical turn by MK.gee. On November 16, Charli XCX will pull double duty as both host and musical guest.

Bill Burr will host SNL for the second time

Radically different as these episodes will be in tone, both cater to the SNL crowd. Bill Burr is a beloved comedian who hosted the show back in 2020. He will be tasked with handling the first SNL episode to air after the election, and his blunt delivery will undoubtedly serve him and the audience well.

Bill Burr appeals to comedy fans and SNL lifers, while Charli XCX represents the show's ability to tap into the cultural zeitgeist. Charli was one of the biggest pop stars of 2024 thanks to her album BRAT, so it was only a matter of time before she was asked to host.

Charli XCX has already been the subject of a season 50 sketch, in which cast member Bowen Yang dressed like her and tried to define the meaning of "BRAT." Charli has also ventured into acting, and is set to appear in multiple 2025 releases, so it makes perfect sense that she would pull double duty.

Charli XCX is the first season 50 performer to host and sing in the same episode (Ariana Grande has done both before, but her recent appearance was host-specific). SNL has yet to unveil which celebs will fill out the rest of 2025, but we have to say, we're pretty thrilled with what we've gotten so far.
