While we have the disappointing news that we now have three weeks of no new episode of Saturday Night Live, we know when the show will be back. There will be one episode in February 2026, and now we know who will host it.
SNL is going the route of popularity — and it makes sense, as it’s clear that the notoriety of the host is something that helps to draw in the viewers. So, why not opt for a Heated Rivalry host? Yes, it’s only going to be one of them, although we can hope for a cameo!

Who will host Saturday Night Live in February?
Saturday Night Live announced during its January 31 episode that Connor Storrie would be the next host of the series. However, we have to wait for the episode, as it will air on Saturday, Feb. 28. The series is taking a three-week break due to NBC airing the Winter Olympics throughout February.
The move is a smart one. The Heated Rivalry star has rose to fame thanks to the series, and there’s no doubt that people tuned into both The Tonight Show and Late Night when the two stars appeared on the series — one on each show.
This is also great timing considering the Winter Olympics. After all, hockey is one of the sporting events, and Heated Rivalry is a hockey series. So, it just marries together well coming off the back of the world event. Oh, and Storrie is an Olympic torchbearer!
There are questions about the skits that we could see throughout the episode. After all, SNL recently spoofed Heated Rivalry with Harry Potter when Finn Wolfhard was on the series. Could we see some sort of Stranger Things spoof to allow Storrie to “get his own back?” It’s all in a bit of fun!

The musical guest is also confirmed for SNL
On top of that, Mumford & Sons will perform during the night. It’s the fourth time the band has appeared on the comedy sketch show, with the most recent performance back in 2018. Others were in 2012 and 2015.
This marks Storrie’s debut on the series. There is hope that we could see his co-star, Hudson Williams, at least as a cameo in a sketch. This would certainly be a way to draw more people in.
The downside is having to wait! Saturday Night Live will return with new episodes on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC.
