After taking a couple of weeks off for Thanksgiving, Saturday Night Live is back with a new episode. There are going to be three new regular episodes in December 2025, and the Saturday, Dec. 6 is just the first of them.
There’s plenty to look forward to this month. Not only do we have the three regular episodes, but there is also A Saturday Night Live Christmas, which is the Christmas-themed episode that we look forward to each and every year. For now, though, we’re focused on tonight’s all-new episode.
What time is Saturday Night Live season 51 episode 7 on NBC?
After airing at an earlier time for the Thanksgiving episode, we’re happy to share that Saturday Night Live is back at the regular time tonight, Saturday, Dec. 6. You’ll be able to tune in from 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
Now, if you don’t have traditional cable anymore, don’t you worry. NBC makes it possible to watch via YouTube TV. Unfortunately, NBC went dark on Fubo TV due to a standoff between the two companies, so that’s not available as of right now.
Is it a little too late to stay up for the episode? We get you! Not everyone gets the whole weekend off, so you’ll want to stream Saturday Night Live the following day. The good news is all episodes head to Peacock.
Who is the host on Saturday Night Live on Dec. 6?
Before SNL went off the air for Thanksgiving, there was an on-air announcement about the next host. Melissa McCarthy will be back for her sixth time as a guest host on the series, and we already have a look at her dressed up as a Christmas star. Why does that not surprise us?
Of course, this means she gets to join in with the many sketches. With all the movies McCarthy has been in, it’s hard to guess exactly what we’ll get sketches of, but Ghostbusters, Thunder Force, The Little Mermaid, and Genie all come to mind immediately.
Who is the musical guest on SNL season 51 episode 7?
Of course, there is always a musical guest, and tonight is no exception. Dijon will make his SNL debut.
He is currently on tour after the release of his second album, “Baby.” We’ll get to see performances of some of his tracks off his new album, and maybe some from his debut album, “Absolutely.”
