The streaming late night shows are getting back in order, and Real Time with Bill Maher is the first of them to return. Fridays are going to be packed with interviews, roundtables, and much more, and it all starts tonight, Friday, Jan. 23.

Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 premieres, and the first set of guests have been announced by HBO. So, you know what you’re getting into before watching.

What time is Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO tonight?

The Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 premiere will air tonight, Friday, Jan. 23 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Yes, this is more of a “live” type of show with HBO opting for all timezones getting the episode at the same time. It also helps with the fact that it streams on HBO Max at the same time as airing on the channel.

So, there are a few ways to be able to watch the show. You can tune in with good ol’ cable if you have the premium network attached to it. Or, you can opt for HBO Max and stream the episode while everyone else watches it on their TV.

And yes, the episode will be there to watch whenever you want. Like previous seasons (and other HBO shows) Real Time will be available to stream on HBO Max after it airs.

Who are the guests on the Real Time with Bill Maher season 24 premiere?

The premiere episode is packed with guests who are mostly offering voices to the right. This won’t be that surprising, considering Maher’s own politics are on the Republican side, but he does usually offer more of a balanced view when it comes to debating to try to bring back the ability to actually debate and not attack.

That being said, the episode will start with a one-on-one interview with Major General Paul Eaton, who is the senior advisor for VoteVets and the Vet Voice Foundation. This is where some of the balanced elements come in, as he has regularly spoken out against George W. Bush’s move into Iraq, and he has been critical of Donald Trump. Like I said, most of the guests are Republicans, but not all of them.

This is not the first time Eaton has appeared on Real Time, appearing back in 2003.

After the one-on-one interview, it will move to a roundtable, with Sen. John Kennedy and Kasie Hunt chatting with Maher about various topics. There are no details on the type of topics that will come up, but the discussion of the current Administration, Kennedy’s book How to Test Negative for Stupid: And Why Washington Never Will, and The Arena with Kasie Hunt are sure to come up.

Real Time with Bill Maher airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on HBO and HBO Max.
