Rob Schneider and Elle King have carved out two very different career paths. The former broke out as cast member of Saturday Night Live in the 90s, and went on to star in a series of hit comedies along people like Adam Sandler and David Spade.

Elle King, Schneider's daughter, made her name as a musician. She broke through with her debut album in 2015, and scored a top ten hit right out of the gate. King has proven to be a consistent force in the country genre, earning four Grammy nominations over the last decade.

Unfortunately, mutual success in the Schneider family has not led to mutual stances. The comedian has become an outspoken conservative in recent years, and King has skewed towards the liberal side of the spectrum. This has led to tension, which King opened up about during a recent interview.

Elle King admitted that her opinion of her father has changed in the last few years. She went on the Dumb Blonde podcast and made it clear that she does not agree with many of the things Schneider has said in the media. She didn't sugarcoat this opinion, either, saying:

"I disagree with a lot of the things that he says. You’re talking out of your a*s and you’re talking s**t about drag and, you know, anti-gay rights. And it’s like, get f**ked."

The country singer also reflected on her childhood, and the pros and cons of growing up with a famous dad. She admitted that she got to spend a lot of time on film sets, but that she was often worried about getting in trouble.

"If I ever messed up a shot, if I was talking, I would get in f**king trouble," she explained. King was asked whether she had hopes of mending her relationship with Rob Schneider due to their recent distance, but the singer said that the window for said mending has passed. As least, as far as she's concerned.

"He’s just not nice," King asserted. "You can want someone to change so much. You can’t control anyone else’s actions and you can’t control people’s feelings." The full episode of the Dumb Blonde podcast with Elle King is currently available on all streaming platforms.
