Rachel Sennott is on the rise. The comedian has proven herself to be one of the sharpest presences in indie films over the last few years. Her performances in Shiva Baby and Bottoms have made her a fan favorite among Gen Z viewers, and she's set to play Rosie Shuster in the upcoming film Saturday Night.

Shuster was an original cast member of Saturday Night Live, and Saturday Night is a fictional account of the taping for the show's first episode in 1975. Sennott is among the many talented actors who are part of the film's ensemble. That said, the comedian is ready to take the SNL stage for real.

Rachel Sennott recently sat down for a Cultured interview with Charli XCX. Both are making waves in their respective fields, and Sennott made an extended cameo in the music video for Charli's hit single "360." There's a "cool" factor to both performers, but Sennott made it clear that hosting Saturday Night Live is on her bucket list:

"I’m just gonna say that out loud—that would be the best show ever. Hosting is my dream; I think it would be so fun."

Sennott also reflected on the impact SNL made on her as a child. She was told by SNL boss Lorne Michaels that everyone's favorite version of the show is the one they grew up with, and she agreed, citing cast members Maya Rudolph, Kristin Wiig and Tina Fey as her favorites. "The girls were having their moment, and so of course that’s my favorite," she noted.

Sennott told Charli XCX that she got the opportunity to watch an SNL taping in person during the making of Saturday Night, and joked that she tried to get Lorne Michaels to fall in love with her as a means of securing a host spot. "I’m asking him, 'Am I giving your ex-wife?,'" she recalled. "He’s like, 'Yeah, sure.'"

Sennott's star will likely continue to rise, so we hope that she does actually get a chance to bring her comedic talents to the SNL stage at some point in the near future.
