Jimmy Kimmel is having a field day with the recent Presidential Debate. He joined the rest of the late night roster in mocking the performance of Donald Trump, and praising the performance of Kamala Harris.

Kimmel took things a step further on Thursday, though. During his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue, the comedian extrapolated the consequences of the debate, and predicted that Trump would do next in an attempt to protect himself.

Kimmel believes Trump will sell off Truth Social

The host claimed that Truth Social, Trump's Twitter equivalent, was in free fall following the debate. The app actually started to lose money well before the debate, dropping a staggering $4 billion in the last few months, according to the New York Times, but Kimmel thinks the debate marked a turning point.

Kimmel predicted that Donald Trump will sell his stock shares in Truth Social once he is able, which would mean that all of the people who invested in the app would suffer major losses:

"If he does that, it would immediately tank the stock and screw all the people who invested in it... He will definitely be doing that, probably the second he’s allowed to."

The host also predicted Trump's return to Twitter

Truth Social came about due to Trump being banned from Twitter in 2021. The former President decided to launch his own platform, one he deemed had less censorship, and has proceeded to inform his fanbase from there.

Trump was allowed back on Twitter in 2023, which lessens the need for Truth Social and bolsters Jimmy Kimmel's prediction. He doubled down on the belief that Trump would simply pivot back to the Elon Musk-owned platform, and told the audience to remember what he said.

"He’ll dump Truth Social, he’ll jump right back on Twitter," the host announced. "Mark my words." If there's one late night personality who will follow up on this Trump subplot, and make sure that he gets credit for calling out the former President's actions, it's Kimmel. Now we will just have to wait and see if he's right.
