Jimmy Kimmel claims Trump got 'spanked' during Presidential Debate

It was always going to be a talking point. The Presidential Debate took place on September 10, and the world watched as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris duked it out for public favor. Trump said some very confusing things when he had the floor, however, and a certain comedian absolutely pounced on them during his Jimmy Kimmel Live! monologue.

Kimmel almost had too much material to address during his monologue, but he made due with the time he had. He asserted that Donald Trump got verbally spanked during the debate, then went and joked about the former President's extramarital habits.

Kimmel was surprised by Trump's performance

"Usually when Donald Trump gets a spanking like this from a woman, it’s with a Forbes magazine," the comedian told the audience. Kimmel may have expected Kamala Harris to outperform Trump during the debate, but he was still taken aback by some of the things Trump had to say.

The most notable talking point had to do with immigrants and pets. Trump claimed that immigrants are coming into this country and eating the cats of American citizens. There was nothing to support this claim, nor was there a clear lead up to this statement.

Kimmel, like the rest of us, didn't know what to do with this. The host decided to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective. He asked the Jimmy Kimmel Live! audience to engage in a thought experiment related to Trump.

The host posed a hypothetical to voters

"I want you to close your eyes," he told the audience. "I want you to imagine we’ve never heard of Donald Trump before, and the first time you’ve ever seen him was during tonight’s debate. What would your reaction be right now? You’d be in shock." He makes a good point.

Kimmel went on to joke that if Trump didn't have an established persona and cache with the public, then the Republican party would be closing down their headquarters like Spirit Halloween stores in the off season. It's only going to get more critical from here, folks.
