Jimmy Kimmel took the summer off from hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live, which means he went months without insulting Donald Trump. The host has been putting in overtime since his return, but he still has yet to catch up all the things he wants to say.

In an effort to do so, Kimmel decided to bring out his wife, Molly McNearney, to help him out. The host brought McNearney on with him during his Wednesday night monologue, and the result was a brutal takedown of Trump's recent comments regarding the Kimmels at a recent campaign rally.

For context: Trump dubbed Jimmy Kimmel a "dope" and "one of the dumbest human beings" ever to his supporters. He also made reference to McNearney, who works as a head writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live and was a producer when Kimmel last hosted the Oscars.

Trump claimed that McNearney begged Kimmel not to read posts from Trump during the Oscars show, but the comedy couple turned the tables on the former President and mock him together. "Should I be worried that Trump has mentioned my wife more times in his rallies this year than his own," Kimmel asked.

He then brought McNearney on stage to drop some bombs of her own. She listed off the various issues and hypocrisies within Trump's campaign. She highlighted, in particular, the way that he has tried to marginalize women in her eyes. She then made the withering statement:

"Go to Mar-a-Lago. Spend all day cheating at golf and masturbating to Newsmax, and let a competent woman take over."

McNearney also urged Donald Trump to "shut up and go away" after presiding over politics for the better part of a decade. Jimmy Kimmel and the audience applauded McNearney's statement.

The host also found time to slip in a Trump dig of his own. In addressing Trump's claim that he's a "dope," Kimmel quipped: "Isn’t that sweet? He’s confusing me with one of his sons again."
