Is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight, January 16?
By Matt Moore
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert took Monday night off, leaving fans without their favorite late-night TV show. So what should audiences expect to see tonight on CBS?
Tuesday night offers Stephen Colbert and the rest of late-night TV an opportunity to react to the (predictable) outcome of the Iowa caucuses. Trump's victory was no surprise, but that doesn't mean Colbert won't have anything to say about the trickle-down effects on the rest of the GOP field.
Thankfully, fans will get to hear what Colbert and company think on Tuesday night. There will be a brand new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.
Expect Colbert's monologue to cover the days leading up to the votes in Iowa, which included some questionable comments from Donald Trump. The futures of Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and others should also be on the table.
Tonight's guest lineup also comes with a lot of star power. First up, rapper Nicki Minaj will take the Colbert Questionert.
Then, musician Jeff Tweedy joins The Late Show. He'll be on to promote his new book, World Within a Song.
Fans should also expect a special message from comedian Taylor Tomlinson. She'll be there to remind everyone about the premiere of After Midnight following The Late Show.
Finally, tonight's musical guest will be Daniel Caesar. He'll perform songs off his 2023 album Never Enough.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs tonight, January 16, at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS. The show is also available on Paramount+.
