The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has a lot of headlines to sift through to start the week. But what should late-night TV fans expect to see tonight on CBS?

Stephen Colbert's monologue has no shortage of material entering the new week. The Iowa caucuses, Donald Trump's outbursts on social media, and President Joe Biden's re-election campaign could all be on the table.

Unfortunately, we won't get to hear what Colbert says on any of those topics come Monday. There will not be a new episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert tonight.

Instead, CBS will reair the January 9 episode during the normal Late Show timeslot. That show featured Gayle King, Charles Barkley, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as guests.

So why isn't The Late Show with Stephen Colbert new tonight? It's in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday. Colbert and company will return with a new episode on Tuesday, January 16.

The rest of late-night TV is doing the same by observing the MLK Day holiday. Shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Late Night with Seth Meyers all plan to air reruns on Monday night.

Colbert already announced his guest lineup for Tuesday. Look for Nicki Minaj (who will be taking the Colbert Questionert), Jeff Tweedy, Daniel Caesar, and Taylor Tomlinson to appear on the show.
