Is Saturday Night Live new tonight, December 30?

We're saying goodbye to 2023 this weekend, but will Saturday Night Live fans say hello to a new episode? Here's what SNL fans can expect to see tonight on NBC.
2023 was another unpredictable and unusual year for Saturday Night Live. The Writers Guild of America strike cut short season 48 and caused a slight delay to season 49. Thankfully, SNL was able to hit the ground running when the new season began and has carried that momentum through December.
Unfortunately, we have seen everything SNL has to offer in 2023. There will not be a new episode of Saturday Night Live tonight.
Instead, NBC will reair the November 11 episode from earlier this season. Timothée Chalamet hosted for the second time and was joined by musical guest boygenius.
Fans also have another chance to catch a Saturday Night Live rerun tonight. At 10:00 p.m. ET, NBC will reair the January 28, 2023 episode hosted by Michael B. Jordan with musical guest Lil Baby.
So when will Saturday Night Live return in 2024? Mark your calendars for January 20. Actor Jacob Elordi, star of Euphoria, Priscilla, and Saltburn, makes his debut as host. He'll be joined by musical guest Reneé Jane Rapp.
The singer/actor will make her first SNL appearance, although she already has a connection to the show. Rapp starred as Regina George in the Broadway production of Tina Fey's Mean Girls and will reprise the role in the movie musical coming to theaters in January.
