Cecily Strong was one of the many comedians who stepped up to show their support for Presidential nominee Kamala Harris. She hopped on a zoom fundraiser dubbed "Comics for Kamala," and decided to take some unexpected swipes at Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, in the process.

Vance has become something of a meme since he announced his VP candidacy. There have been lots of odd accusations and bizarre details about his past that have come to light, and Strong did not hold anything back during the digital fundraiser. She gave viewers their money's worth.

"JD claims to be the voice of the Rust Belt," she said in response to a comment from moderator Rep. Eric Swalwell. "Which is only true if we’re talking about his belt after he fucks an orange couch.” The shocking bit elicited laughter from peers, which only spurred more jokes at Vance's expense.

"JD Vance is confusing because his rhetoric wants us to panic about immigrant," Strong noted. "But his eyeliner wants us to Panic! at the Disco." The comedian, who was a standout cast member on SNL from 2012 to 2022, made sure to credit some of the writers who helped her develop material for the call.

She named Katie Rich, Josh Patten and Peter Schultz as Saturday Night Live writers (past and present) who relished an opportunity to poke fun at both Donald Trump and Vance. "Vance looks like a composite of every guy that’s called you a b***h on Bumble," she quipped to even more laughter.

Cecily Strong ended her brutal takedown of JD Vance by making an appeal to his wife, Usha. She addressed Usha directly, and urged her to convince to drop out of the election. "Keep your husband out of the White House, Usha," she exclaimed. "That’s what you can do to make it better."

Despite the talent involved in the fundraiser, it's safe to say Strong stole the show.
