Donald Trump does not like late night television, and late night television does not like him. The two have been oil and water since Trump became President in 2016, and people like Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert have effectively built their entire shows around roasting him.

It should come as no surprise, then, that Donald Trump has harsh words for the late night medium. What is surprising, though, is who he decided to target. Instead of ragging on Kimmel or Colbert, he decided to go after the least political late night host of all: Jimmy Fallon.

Trump dubbed Fallon 'not very funny' during rally

The ragging occurred during a Trump rally on September 23. The former President told the crowd in Pennsylvania that the big three of late night, Kimmel, Colbert, and Fallon, are not funny, but then went specifically at Fallon and The Tonight Show:

"I went on [Jimmy’s] show, 'The Tonight Show,' which is dying. They’re all dying."

Trump went on to draw an unflattering comparison between Fallon and who many consider to be the greatest Tonight Show host, Johnny Carson. "Where is Johnny Carson? Bring back Johnny," he told the crowd. "It made you appreciate the greatness of Johnny Carson. These three guys are so bad."

The former President decided to after Fallon after a clip of him joking about Kamala Harris was played during the rally. Trump made it clear that he was not amused by the host's presence or his jokes, and bluntly declared that he's "not very funny."

Trump has, of course, inadvertently given Fallon and the other late night hosts fodder for material about how riled up they have gotten him. The comment that Trump made bout bringing back Johnny Carson has already been memed to death online, with Joy Behar from The View joking that they could attempt a "seance" to resurrect the late Carson.

We're curious to see how Fallon responds to Trump's verbal attacks.
